Digital photomicrograph of the histology of the mid-diaphyseal humerus in cross-section. This image was taken at 10x total magnification under crossed Nicols filters using a Nikon D300 DSLR camera attached to a Nikon Optiphot2-Pol light transmission microscope. The image was then edited in Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended to correct contrast (across the whole image) and to add a scale bar.
