Media notes
Character 24. P4 (crown): postcingulum condition: continuous (0); with gap (1). Remarks: Unordered. S. mirabilis and N. fodiens species and most ingroup species display a continuous posterocingulum (Character 024: A). Outgroup S. minutissimus and eight ingroup species, S. etruscus, S. murinus, S. johnstoni, C. olivieri, C. leucodon, C. serezkyensis, C. zarudnyi, D. pulchellum display a weakly developed part of the posterocingulum (Character 024: B). This state determined by a presence the gap between the buccal and lingual portions of the cingulum. The gap is expressed in varying degrees: from the very weak marginal 'ledge' to fully smooth part. In both cases, in posterior view, we can view a continuous belt of the posterocingulum but with opposite states on the occlusal surface: with ridge/ledge [st. 0] or without ledge [st. 1]. For details see S8.
