Allopolyploid (almost entirely tetraploid) 10-stamen black-fruited hawthorn of northwestern North America. Segregate taxa not limited to the four included here (C. atrovirens, C. castlegarensis, C. okennoni, C. phippsii); these segregate taxa are discussed in a forthcoming paper (Dickinson & Han in prep.).
