Media notes
Character 9. A1 (crown): exaenodonty of a buccal side: expressed exaenodonty (0); weak exaenodonty (1); non-exaenodont buccal side (2). Remarks: Unordered. Exaenodonty is an overhung of the buccal (and lingual) side of a tooth over an alveolus margin. The expressed buccal exaenodonty of A1 display outgroup Sorex (Character 009: A) and Neomys (the later species shows lingual exaenodonty also). Most ingroup species display weak buccal exaenodonty (Character 009: B). Two species, S. murinus and C. lasiura display non-exaenodont buccal side; but this determination to a certain extent is conventional because we can observe small overhung of the buccal and lingual sides (Character 009: C). For details see S8.
