Media notes
Character 22. P4 (crown): parastylar crest: absent (0); present (1). Remarks: Outgroup Sorex and Neomys species and five ingroup species, M. okuensis, C. olivieri, C. yaldeni, C. sapaensis, D. pulchellum display a parastylar crest presence. This state determined in occlusal view by the presence of visible crest between parastyle and the paracone base. The crest well-developed and high in Sorex and Neomys; Myosorex and Crocidura display low crest (Character 022: A). Other species without the parastylar crest (Character 022: B). Previous authors used this character for phylogenetic analysis of extinct/extant Soricinae (Rofes & Cuenca-Bescós, 2009: characters #6, 7). For details see S8.
