Abstract

We report a new locality of Hemidactylus granchii Lanza, 1978 from northern Somalia. Until now, the gecko was known only from the type series from three localities in southern and central Somalia. This record extends the known range more than 450 km north-westwards. A comparison with morphologically similar species is provided.
